Risk Numeracy Test
Short questions describe risks in everyday words: percentages, ratios and screening tests. Type the number that answers correctly. Twelve questions move from simple proportions to compound conditional probability and return your score, level-by-level breakdown and average time.
About the Risk Numeracy Test
Risk numeracy is the ability to understand and convert probability information — turning a '1 in 250' figure into a percentage, or working out what a positive screening result really means. It predicts how well people weigh health and financial decisions that come wrapped in numbers.
Questions follow the shape of the Berlin Numeracy Test, in three banks: simple proportions, percent-to-ratio conversions, and compound conditional probability including a Bayesian screening problem. Fractions such as 1/4 are accepted alongside decimals.
