Digit Span Test
Digits appear one at a time, then you type them back. First repeat them in the same order, then repeat a new set in reverse. This two-part test measures both your forward and backward digit span — a standard working memory task.

About the Digit Span Test
Digit span is one of the oldest and most widely used tests of working memory. In the forward part you simply repeat the digits in the order shown, which measures how much you can hold in mind at once. In the backward part you repeat them in reverse, which forces you to manipulate the digits, not just store them.
Most adults manage about seven digits forward and about five backward. The gap between the two is normal: reversing a sequence draws on attention and executive control on top of storage. Each correct answer makes the next sequence one digit longer, and two misses at the same length end a part.
