About the Number Memory Test

This test measures your digit span — how many digits you can hold in short-term memory. It starts at three digits and grows by one after every correct answer. The first mistake ends the run, and your score is the longest number you typed correctly.

Most adults remember about seven digits, a limit noted since the 1950s and often called the magic number seven plus or minus two. Repeating the digits in your head or grouping them into chunks can push your span higher.
