Paper Folding Test

A square sheet is folded once or twice and a single hole is punched through it. Picture the fold lines, then say where the holes appear once the paper is opened flat. Twelve questions measure this classic paper-folding form of spatial visualisation.

About the Paper Folding Test

Paper folding is one of the oldest ways to measure spatial visualisation. It appears in the Differential Aptitude Tests and in the Stanford–Binet battery: follow each fold in your mind, keep the punch location fixed on the packet, and mirror it back across every crease to unlock the full pattern.

Questions here run from a single fold to a double fold, where four holes appear in a symmetric cross. Every answer is verifiable by reflecting the punch across each fold line, and the four options are generated so exactly one matches.
