Visual Memory Test

A handful of cells light up on a grid for a moment, then everything goes blank. Tap every cell that was lit, in any order. Start with three cells and add one each round as the grid grows.

About the Visual Memory Test

Visual memory is the ability to hold a picture of what you just saw. Here a set of cells flashes briefly and then disappears, so you are working from a mental snapshot rather than from anything on screen. The pattern is random every round, so you cannot rely on a familiar layout.

Each round begins with three lit cells; clear a round and one more is added, and the grid expands to fit. The flash lasts a little longer as the pattern grows, but it never grows in step with the difficulty. One tap on a cell that was not lit ends the test, and your score is the largest pattern you completed.
