About the Pattern Recognition Test
Recognition memory is your ability to identify something you have encountered before. Unlike the visual memory test, which asks you to recall exact positions, this test asks whether an abstract pattern looks familiar.
Each pattern is generated fresh from the same drawing style, so no two are identical. The distractor in every pair is a brand-new pattern, never a slightly changed copy, which keeps the task about memory rather than fine detail.
